Welcome to Kern Road Farm’s new website.

Our farm is the home of hand prepared condiments made in small batches.  For example, a batch of jam makes seven jars at a time.

 We use cane sugar, champagne wine vinegar, fresh or frozen fruit, and local produce when available.  Michigan’s produce is proven by our products to be the best. The farm is located six miles south of Fowlerville, in the heart of mid- Michigan.  Nancy’s family has farmed on Kern Road since pre-civil war.

You can find us online, by phone, home on the farm (we love company), and at the Ann Arbor Farmer’s Market or Detroit’s Historical Eastern Farmer’s Market.  You can always give us a call to find out where is convenient for you.  Nancy Armstrong and her husband Robert Fischer operate the family owned and run business with lots of needed input from customers and other family members.

Nancy personally makes each batch of jam, syrup, vinaigrette, barbecue sauce, and chutney in the farm’s Michigan Department of Agriculture certified commercial kitchen.  We invite you to try our old-fashioned full-flavored products.

Our signature and world savored is raspberry jam.  We originally started making raspberry condiments from our fifteen acre raspberry farm in l990.  We plan on replanting this spring (2009).

The Kern Road Farm Kitchen produces over one hundred products year round with seasonal choices.  We include heirloom and hard-to-find items as well as products you specifically may request.
